Hello
My name is Andrew Paredes, and I am pursuing a career in sports media. During my time at Texas A&M University, I worked for the student newspaper, The Battalion, for two years before spending my last year at A&M working for A&M's Athletic Department media department, 12th Man Productions. I have now graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with two minors in Communication and Sports Management.
About Me
I come from Garland, Texas, a city with about 250,000 people that is located around 20-30 minutes north of Dallas. In 2022, I graduated from Sachse High School and started at Texas A&M, where I would pursue a degree in journalism in hopes of pursuing a career in sports media. That hope and pursuit is still as prevalent as ever, as I still dream of one day becoming a sports television show host or a sports media creator. I also have a TikTok and YouTube Channel where I post short-form content about the NFL and the NBA. My TikTok currently has 525 followers with a total of around 50,000 likes across my 280+ TikToks. My YouTube has over 350 subscribers with 55+ uploaded videos. Outside of sports media and content, I have a black belt in Taekwondo, and I am a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
